Oral Cancer App

This project aims to develop a mobile application to empower Asha workers to detect cancer early and manage patients. The app will facilitate data collection, examination process, and communication between Asha workers, doctors, and the administration.

Problem Statement

  • Many individuals, particularly in rural areas, lack access to timely and affordable cancer screening, leading to delayed diagnosis and poorer treatment outcomes.Existing systems for tracking cancer cases and coordinating care between healthcare providers are often inefficient and fragmented, hindering effective patient management.

Steps taken to achieve

  • Conduct thorough research on cancer screening guidelines and best practices for early detection. Design a user-friendly and intuitive mobile application interface for Asha workers. Develop a comprehensive patient assessment module with features for data entry, image capture, and document upload. Integrate secure messaging and communication features for seamless interaction between Asha workers, doctors, and the administration. Develop a robust data management system to securely store and manage patient data. Implement role-based access control to ensure data privacy and security. Conduct rigorous testing and user feedback sessions to refine the application's functionality and usability. Train Asha workers on the use of the application and its features. Continuously monitor and evaluate the application's effectiveness and make necessary improvements based on user feedback and data analysis.

Outcome of the project

  • 1.The app will significantly improve early cancer detection rates by empowering Asha workers with the necessary tools and resources to effectively identify and refer potential cases for further evaluation.
  • 2. The streamlined data flow and improved communication between healthcare providers will facilitate timely diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care, leading to better patient outcomes and improved overall cancer care.
