PIH (Pregnancy Induced Hypertension)
The PIH (Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension) App is a mobile application designed to empower pregnant women with the knowledge and tools to effectively monitor, prevent, and manage PIH.
Problem Statement
- There is a lack of awareness and proactive monitoring of PIH among pregnant women. Limited access to timely and personalized support from healthcare providers contributes to delayed diagnosis and intervention.
Steps taken to achieve
- Conduct thorough research on PIH, its risk factors, and best practices for management. Design a user-friendly and intuitive mobile application interface. Develop features for tracking blood pressure, weight, and other relevant health parameters. Create educational modules on PIH, its causes, symptoms, and preventive measures. Integrate a symptom tracker to allow users to log and monitor potential warning signs. Develop a risk assessment tool to identify women at higher risk of developing PIH. Implement secure messaging and appointment scheduling features for communication with healthcare providers. Integrate resources for relaxation techniques and stress management. Conduct rigorous testing and user feedback sessions to refine the app's functionality and usability. Launch the app on relevant app stores and promote its use among pregnant women and healthcare providers.
Outcome of the project
- 1.The PIH App successfully increased awareness of PIH among pregnant women, enabling early detection and proactive management of the condition. By providing valuable information, self-monitoring tools, and facilitating communication with healthcare providers, the app empowered women to take control of their health and reduce the risks associated with PIH.
- 2. The app fostered improved communication and collaboration between pregnant women and their healthcare providers, enabling more personalized and timely care. As a result, it improved the overall quality of pregnancy care and supported healthcare providers in delivering patient-centered solutions.
